Tough Tuesday!

Hello Families!

We had a bit of tough day in class today with a lot of students away and those that were here were struggling with writing and doing many of the things we have already learned this year.  I encourage my students to keep pushing through these "learning lulls" as we have many more exciting adventures to embark on!  It is important your child is at school daily; it makes it very difficult to catch them up on work they have missed.

Homework and Reminders:
  • Gr.4 Math pg. 126 to 127 6,7,8
  • Gr. 5 Math Pg. 124 to 125 6,10,11,12,14

Hello Families!

Welcome back to another week of learning in grade 4/5.  I hope all of you had a great long weekend.  I spent my Friday enriching my knowledge as a teacher so I can bring bigger and better ideas to the classroom.

We are starting something new today in grade 4/5.  Students learned to make study notes today on cue cards and will be bringing them home tonight to study for Religion.  As well, I will be sending home weekly math review sheets with new spelling words.  At the end of the week they need to be turned in!

Tuesday Times!

Hello Families!

We had a big discussion today about wanting to do well in school and working hard to be better than we were the day before!  I am trying to motivate students to develop an intrinsic desire to become independent and accountable learners!  I am seeing progress daily with your children; half the battle is simply "getting here" the other half is paying attention and trying their best!  We can do this! We are a team! We are smart! We are capable!

Please remember to bring your skating gear tomorrow!

Fabulous Friday!

Hello Families!

We had a great end to our very short week!  WE worked on math multiplication review, we looked at foods when Jesus lived, we finished our good copy of our expository essay and the best thing of all......we started our new Language Arts Unit "Making Choices!"

We will be reading a book called Wonder by R.J. Palacio.  Check out the video below.

Our focus for the rest of the year will be to "Choose Kind"...This book will exemplify this theme and I truly hope that if I teach your child anything it is to always choose kindness above all else.

Enjoy your weekend!
