Mass Today Was Lovely!

We had a lovely opening mass today at St. Cecilia Parish.  Thank you so much to the parish staff and Fathers Brad and John; Sacred Heart is truly blessed to have this connection!

Meet The Teacher Night!

We had the best day to date in grade 5 today!  Students showed up ready to learn and they followed procedures to a "T"!  I am so proud of them!

• Please come by the school tonight to "meet the teacher" and take part in our first reading night of the year!
• We are running the Terry Fox Run tomorrow so please wear proper clothes to run in.

We are in full swing in grade 5!  I am very proud of the perseverance my students are showing in getting back into the routines and procedures of school and working through the summer slide!


We enjoyed a little break outside today as a reward for working so hard!

Hello Families!


We had another amazing day in Grade 5!  So much learning is already taking place.  We are working on whole numbers and place value, we are writing poems, we are talking about Indigenous World Views, and the best thing is that we have started to read the book "Wonder!"


Please ask your child what they think of this book.  They have been sent home to think about a time "when they have ever felt different."

• Think about a time when you have felt different and be prepared to write about it tomorrow.

Second Week! Monday!

Week 2 here we go!  What a beautiful way to start week two of school.  Thank you so much to my families for checking your child's agenda and sending it back daily.  We took some time to day to head outside for a well deserved "brain break" on our new play structure!  Healthy Body=Healthy Mind!
