Monday Before Mayhem!

Hello Families!


It is the Monday before Halloween Mayhem!  Students brought a note home outlining our Halloween day tomorrow.  We look forward to having a "business as usual" morning and then a fun filled afternoon. Students can wear their costume all day but need to get ready at home.  Please ensure costumes are appropriate and there are no weapons.

Grade 5 was busy today!  We focused a lot on Writing and Math.  Please make sure your child is caught up on their expository essay.  The good copies are due next week!

We have had a very quiet and peaceful day today!  I was so impressed with both our students and staff at Sacred Heart yesterday.  Our school family is so resilient and calm; we just motored through the day yesterday as if nothing as wrong.  Way to go Sacred Heart!

We have had a great few days in class.  We had the opportunity to go see the Riders practice yesterday and participate in their DIVERSITY IS STRENGTH campaign! We have also been completing our CAT 4 tests; the students have been so focused!  Please ensure your child is at school so they stay up to date on their testing and assignments.

We had another great day in Grade5.  The students looked so sharp for their school pictures!  They also worked very hard today; this was a big improvement from Tuesday!

We have a very big week ahead of us in grade 5.  Tomorrow is picture day; please come ready with your best smile!  We have our Unit 2 Math test this Friday.  It is important that your child study, be well rested and come prepared to write this test. We also have new spelling words and a test this Friday!

We have had a busy day in Grade 5  Please be mindful that students will be having their first Unit Math test in the next week.  As well, they will begin writing their first expository essay on one of the Body Systems.  I have reminded students that it is crucial that they bring their backpack, agenda, and homework back to school daily.  Without these necessary items they will be lost and behind.

Meaningful Monday!

Hello Families!


We had such a meaningful day today at Sacred Heart.  We were so blessed to have a blessing of our buffalo and a mini feast.  We also participated in honouring residential school survivors and their families with our "Orange Shirt Walk."


Sacred Heart is steeped in First Nation Traditions. We honour these daily in all we do!
