Wintery Wednesday!

Hello Families!

We had a fairly busy day today in grade 4/5.  I am finding that students are starting to slip in both procedures and work habits.  I know we are heading into Advent and Christmas and along with that comes much excitement; that being said we still have a lot of learning to do!

The Grade 4's are coming home with bibles that were blessed this morning by Father John!  A big thank-you to him for his time! We are truly blessed.

Homework and Reminders:
  • Math workbook pgs. 11 and 12
  • Santa Store opens next week please bring your Toonie!
  • Practice your spelling and your 4's

Monday Musings!

Hello Families!

Welcome back to another week of Grade 4/5!

We had a bit of a slow start to our week with many children sleepy and having difficulty following procedures.  Most students were not prepared for their 3's math test; it was very evident who studied and who did not.  That being said, I have delayed our Lesson 10 spelling test until tomorrow to give students a chance to be prepared and do their best.

We have started preparing ourselves for Jesus!  What an exciting Season; we have even started preparing for our Advent Concert!

Homework and Reminders:
  • Please call if you did not make you interview time.
  • Math Workbook pgs. 6 and 7
  • Study your 2's and 3's if you need to rewrite.
  • Spelling test tomorrow.

Furry Friday!

Hello families!

Homework and Reminders:

We had our 2's test today and I am still struggling to get some of my students to see the importance of practising on their own.  It is not enough just to come to class and leave things at school.  reinforcement at home is so important.  Thank you for your support.

Please be reminded that report cards will be coming home Monday and interview are next week.  November 23rd and 24th.

Fabulous Friday!

Hello Families!

What a great day! I cannot believe it is November and we are still enjoying warm fall like days!  The students tested their spelling knowledge today as well as their 0's and 1's times tables!! Please ask your child how they did!  It is really important that students receive support from home with regards to multiplication!  Please try to work with your child for about 5 minutes a night on the times table we focus on that week!  Next week is 2's; perhaps we can get a jump start on the weekend!

Check out this video to help you with the 2's!!!!

Have a great weekend my Marvelous Multipliers!!!!
