Thursday...my voice hurts!

Dear families,

As we approach the end of the school year excited students sometimes have trouble remembering procedures.  I reminded them today that we still have a lot of school to get through and a lot to learn. Please do your best to reinforce, that although it is "summer-like" outside, we are still in school mode!

Wow Wednesday!

The students have been very busy with Expository Writing assessments.  They are doing fabulous.  They are pretty amazed that they can come up with a structured 5 paragraph essay in two hours; considering writing a paragraph was tough at the beginning of this year for most students! I am so proud of them!

It is really important that students make a big effort to be at school daily for the next two months.  There are so many things we are wrapping up and so many assessments we are doing.  It is very difficult to catch students up with they miss testing times.  Please ensure they are doing their very best to be at school.  Thank-you!

We had a great day at the track to day! The weather was lovely and the children were able to participate in a wide variety of track activities!

It's Friday!

What an amazing Friday! We had so much fun skipping, playing football and playing tag outside today!

We began a new math unit to day for both grades on "Transformations." Students need to be really neat and use their rulers!!!

Hello to all my families.  I hope you had a restful and blessed Easter break. 

We have many things going on this week.

Please bring ALL raffle ticket money and unsold tickets back to the school on April 27th.  Hang onto everything until this date so that I can deal with it all on one day.

Writer's Workshop will be Wednesday April 15th from 6pm to 7pm.  Please be at the front doors on time as I will be locking them by 6:05pm.

School Track Mini Meet is April 27th in the morning at Douglas park.

Spring Pictures are April 22nd.

Persuasive Essay is due April 24th.

Inventor's Workshop is due April 30th.

Eucharistic Adoration

Today we had the opportunity to prepare ourselves for Eucharistic Adoration.  We explored the importance of the Monstrance and  the Eucharist. Thank you to the Myriam Sisters for their guidance.
